Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Suspect in Hate Crime Vandalism Case

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a hate crime vandalism incident involving a swastika spray-painted on a residential garage in the Town of Clay.
On January 6, 2026, deputies responded to a report of hateful graffiti at a residence in the Town of Clay. Following an investigation, deputies identified Justin C. Wilson, 27, of Veneto Drive, Clay, NY, as the individual responsible.
On February 5, 2026, members of the Sheriff’s Office responded to Wilson’s residence, where he was taken into custody without incident. A search of the residence resulted in the recovery of a can of black spray paint and several articles of clothing consistent with those worn during the incident. The items were located in Wilson’s bedroom.
