Fire 140 Campbell Rd.

At approximately 12:53 p.m. today, 911 received a report of smoke coming from the roof of a residence at 140 Campbell Road in the Town of Salina.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and rescued a dog from the home. A second dog was pulled from the fire but later died. The Hinsdale Fire Department responded and successfully rescued three cats from the residence.

No occupants were inside the home at the time of the fire. One firefighter sustained minor injuries while battling the fire.
