Roxboro Middle School PTO Missing Money Arrest

On 3/12/2024, the newly elected officials of the Roxboro Road Middle School PTO reported missing funds, bank account discrepancies, and vendors owed money to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

With the assistance of the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office performing forensic accounting and financial analysis, it was discovered that Kristen L. Pyer (9/12/1973), from Mattydale, was responsible for $64,809.89 of unaccounted for or misused money. Over the years of involvement with the PTO, Pyer had held various positions from Treasurer to President. She was employed at the school as an Aid and Extra Substitute. It was uncovered that the missing funds were used for personal use.

On 9/30/2025, Pyer was arrested by Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Detectives for Grand Larceny 2nd and Falsifying Business Records 1st. Pyer was remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center and arraigned at CAP this evening where she was released on her own recognizance.
