Update to Cicero Crash involving teen from Saturday

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle collision on Alizarin Avenue in the Town of Cicero.
The investigation determined that Aden Case, 18, of Cicero, was operating a dirt bike when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck the driver’s side door of a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.  The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.
Mr. Case sustained serious injuries and was transported to Upstate University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Following the investigation, Mr. Case has been charged with the following Vehicle and Traffic Law violations:
  1. VTL 11200 – Failure to Keep Right (2-Lane Road)
  2. VTL 3810 – Motorcycle Rear-View Mirror Violation
  3. VTL 509 – Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Proper License
  4. VTL 306 – Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Inspection Certificate
  5. VTL 319 – Operating a Vehicle without Insurance
  6. VTL 410 – Operating an Unregistered Motorcycle
  7. VTL 3810 – Motorcycle Helmet Violation
  8. VTL 1180 – Imprudent Speed
  9. VTL 1212 – Reckless Driving (Misdemeanor)
  10. VTL 1192 – Driving While Intoxicated, First Offense (Misdemeanor)
