Tully, NY – On Sunday, June 15, 2025, 21-year-old Kader Oulasie of Bronx, NY, was kayaking on Tully Lake with a friend when his kayak capsized. Mr. Oulasie entered the water and, despite immediate attempts to assist him, he tragically drowned shortly after the incident.
Emergency personnel from multiple agencies, including the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Air-1 Unit, the Navigation and Dive Teams, as well as local fire departments, responded to the scene. Recovery operations commenced immediately and continued into the evening hours. His body was recovered Monday morning by Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office divers and the Navigation Unit.
