Salina, NY – Today, 5-6-2025 around 3:30 pm, a commercial vehicle operated by 31-year-old Lyonel Signi of Las Vegas, Nevada, collided with a low-clearance bridge on Onondaga Lake Parkway after failing to heed multiple posted warning signs.
Mr. Signi was traveling eastbound on the Parkway after turning from Oswego Street westbound. Despite the presence of 10 clearly marked traffic control signs indicating the bridge’s low clearance, Mr. Signi proceeded under the bridge, resulting in a collision.
Mr. Signi is the sole operator and owner of Lyon King Logistics LLC, a Las Vegas-based commercial transport company located at 4278 Eagle Island Street. At the time of the incident, he was carrying an independently contracted load.
As a result of the incident, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Deputies issued a total of 12 Uniform Traffic Tickets (UTTs) to Mr. Signi:
-
10 counts of Disobeying Traffic Control Devices
-
1 count of Unreasonable Speed with Hazards Present (due to the bridge hazard)
-
1 count of Failure to Use Designated Lane, referring to the clearly marked truck pull-off zone
A post-incident inspection conducted by a DOT Inspector deemed the vehicle out of service due to safety violations.
There were no reported injuries, and the scene was cleared
