Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Braxton Bostic on Multiple Charges

Onondaga County, NY – On February 25, 2025, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Braxton Bostic, 28, of Newark, NY.
Bostic was taken into custody following an investigation into a Grant Blvd—automobile crash in November.
Charges Filed Against Bostic:
Felony Charges:
  • Possession of a Forged Instrument in the First Degree (PL 170.30) – Class C Felony
Misdemeanor Charges:
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle in the Third Degree (VTL 05110(1A)) – Unclassified Misdemeanor
  • Reckless Driving (VTL 12120) – Unclassified Misdemeanor
Traffic Offenses:
  • Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Physical Injury (VTL 12880)
  • Moved from Lane Unsafely (VTL 11280(0A))
  • Crossing Road Hazard Markings (VTL 11280(0D))
  • Failure to Signal Properly (VTL 11630(0B))
  • Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign (VTL 11720(0A))
  • Speed Violation – Speeding in Zone (VTL 11800(0D))
Bostic was identified as the driver of a GMC Yukon that crashed on Grant Blvd. on November 12, 2024, before fleeing the scene. He was charged with a felony for having multiple fraudulent checks in his possession.
Bostic is currently being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
