CALEA Accreditation Public Portal

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is a New York State and CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) accredited law enforcement agency. CALEA was created in 1979 as a credentialing authority through the joint efforts of law enforcement’s major executive associations. Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office was awarded CALEA accreditation by the Commission in 2022 and has maintained compliance with all required accreditation standards since that time.

CALEA has created a public access portal for the purpose of receiving comments regarding an agency’s compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in its’ service community and delivery of public safety services. The portal may be accessed at: CALEA Public Access Portal
